Back on Dry Land

Blog back on dry land

We are back in the UK a little earlier than planned, as a family crisis meant flying back from Palma, Majorca. Thank you to the Entertainment staff on board for being so helpful and those who attended my classes, for being sympathetic and understanding.

It was quite a challenge using our last morning and afternoon sessions to cover drawing, colour and form, but I think I managed it. I left the class with some exercises for the return journey to Southampton and I hope that they enjoyed the classes, as I always do.

Cruise ships offer loads of on-board activities on sea days, so it is always gratifying to have a full class.

We get to meet some lovely people and make new friends on each trip. Oriana is a beautiful ship and classes take place in the Crow’s Nest – a bar/cocktail bar on deck 13, with floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the bow. Lots of light for watercolour painting and great views of sea and sky.

What’s Next?

I look forward to future cruises next year. Thanks P & O.
